Terms and Conditions for Kuzora Safari Tours LTD

1. Booking and Payment

  • Reservation Confirmation: A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the start of the tour.
  • Late Bookings: For bookings made within 30 days of the tour start date, full payment is required at the time of reservation.
  • Accepted Payment Methods: Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved methods. All payments must be in USD or equivalent currency.

2. Cancellations and Refund Policy

  • Client-Initiated Cancellations:
    • More than 60 days before the tour: Full refund minus a 10% administration fee.
    • 30-60 days before the tour: 50% refund of the total tour cost.
    • Less than 30 days before the tour: No refund.
  • Company-Initiated Cancellations: If Kuzora Safari Tours cancels your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule the tour.

3. Changes to Itinerary

  • Client-Initiated Changes: Any requests to modify the itinerary must be communicated at least 30 days in advance. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
  • Company-Initiated Changes: Due to factors beyond our control (e.g., weather, wildlife movement), Kuzora Safari Tours may adjust the itinerary to ensure safety and the best possible experience.

4. Travel Insurance

  • All tourists are recommended to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost baggage, and personal liability.

5. Visas and Travel Documents

  • Visa Requirements: It is the responsibility of the traveler to obtain the necessary visas and permits for entry into their destination country of East Africa. Kuzora Safari Tours will provide guidance, but it is up to the traveler to ensure compliance.
  • Passport Validity: Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the intended departure date from the tourist's destination country of East Africa.

6. Health and Safety

  • Medical Considerations: All travelers must disclose any medical conditions prior to booking. Certain safari activities may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues or chronic illnesses.
  • Vaccinations: It is the traveler’s responsibility to search and ensure that they have the necessary vaccinations required prior entry to the destination East African country.

7. Wildlife Encounters and Responsibility

  • Wildlife Behavior: Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, as animals move freely in their natural habitats. Your guide will do their best to ensure optimal viewing opportunities.
  • Personal Safety: Tourists must adhere to all instructions given by guides, particularly during wildlife encounters. Kuzora Safari Tours is not liable for injuries resulting from failure to follow instructions.

8. Liability

  • Tour Inclusions and Exclusions: Kuzora Safari Tours is responsible for providing the services included in the tour package. However, the company is not liable for cancellations or interruptions caused by factors beyond its control, such as weather, political instability, or third-party service failures and also other activities planned without the knowledge of the company.
  • Personal Responsibility: Travelers are responsible for their own safety, property, and personal belongings. Kuzora Safari Tours cannot be held accountable for lost or stolen items.

9. Force Majeure

  • In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or government regulations), Kuzora Safari Tours reserves the right to suspend or cancel the tour without prior notice. Refunds or rescheduling options will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

10. Code of Conduct

  • Respect for Local Cultures: Tourists are expected to respect the cultural norms and traditions of the local communities visited during the tour.
  • Environmental Responsibility: All guests must adhere to eco-friendly practices, such as proper waste disposal and avoiding harm to wildlife or natural habitats.
  • Photgrapghy and Videography: Al tourists are required to seek consent from people prior taking their pictures and videos especially local communities visited.

11. Age and Fitness Requirements

  • Minimum Age: Most of our safari tours are suitable for children aged 8 and above. Certain tours (e.g., gorilla trekking) may have specific age and fitness requirements.
  • Fitness Levels: Some activities may require a moderate level of physical fitness. It is the guest's responsibility to assess their ability to participate.

12. Special Requests

  • Dietary Needs: Any dietary requirements or food allergies must be communicated at the time of booking. 
  • Room Preferences: While we strive to fulfill special room requests, they are subject to availability.

13. Photography and Media

  • Use of Photos: Kuzora Safari Tours reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken of tourists during tours for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in any promotional material, please inform us in writing prior to the start of the tour.

14. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ugandan courts.
