You will be trekking through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park on your gorilla safari in Uganda in search of the rare and endangered mountain gorillas. Proceed towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, also referred to as the fragrance of wonders due to its abundant biodiversity, after passing via Ishasha, the home of climbing lions.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome the pearl of Africa
Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, a Kuzora Safari Tour driver/guide will be waiting to receive you and transfer you to your hotel. Here, you can refresh, relax, and prepare for your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park the following morning. This is also an excellent opportunity to explore the area, allowing you to shop at local markets or supermarkets while enjoying the warm hospitality of the Ugandan people. Please note that this exploration is optional.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After breakfast in the morning, you will begin your 9-hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This journey offers a wonderful opportunity to witness the beautiful landscapes of Uganda and observe the daily activities of people from various cultures. Along the way, you'll experience local markets, craft shops, drum shops, and stores selling handmade cultural materials. We believe that the 9-hour drive will be well worth the experience. You will also have a stopover at the Equator for photos and a brief experiment, then continue to Mbarara town for lunch. You can have other optional multiple stops depending your time and requests and your driver/guide will stop so you can capture moments with your cameras. Afterward, you'll proceed to Bwindi or Kabale for the night at your lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early in the morning after your breakfast of cos, you will be transferred with your packed lunch by your driver/guide to the briefing centre where the park rangers will prepare you for the perfect gorilla trekking experience. They will accompany you, clearing trails and sharing valuable information about the mountain gorillas and the Bwindi forest ecosystem. It is always fun trekking the gorillas and it’s an experience to remember. Very soon you will locate the gorillas and you will have a maximum of one hour to interact with these enormous creatures and later on return to the starting point to receive your gorilla trekking certificate. You will then return to your lodge to freshen up and prepare for the activities the following day.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your early breakfast, your driver/guide will pick you and drive you to the most famous park in Uganda-Queen Elizabeth National Park You will go via Ishasha, the southern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is well-known for its unusual lions that climb trees. After a meal, these amazing lions have been observed to climb fig trees in order to rest, take in the breeze, and acquire a better view of their prey among the long savanna grass. Their tree-climbing activity is explained by a number of ideas, which your tour guide will discuss with you during your game drive. A wide range of other wildlife, such as elephants, buffaloes, kobs, topis, waterbucks, and several bird species, can be seen in addition to the lions. After this short game drive you have a rest at your lodge and get ready for another adventure the next morning
Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will start the game drive in this park early in the morning so that you don’t miss wild animals going back into hiding. This the moment to enjoy what you missed in the previous late short game drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park is renowned for diverse wildlife meaning it’s a home to the big four animals (lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo) and a wide range of other animals including hippos, antelopes among others. It is also renowned for tree climbing lions, birdwatching paradise of over 600 bird species, stunning landscapes, cultural experiences and the famous Kazinga channel. On this day you have a great chance of experiencing all of that and you also get an opportunity to have a boat cruise/safari on the Kazinga channel which opens up another realm of adventure that you will live to remember. After a long day, you return to your lodge for an overnight and prepare for the journey back home.
Day 6: Return to Entebbe – End of Safari Tour
After your breakfast in the morning, your driver will pick you from your lodge and start your 9 hours journey back to Entebbe for your flight back home. You will have a stop over along the way for your lunch before you reach the Airport.
